This hamster is sure to incur God's wrath.
As the blog title says, this will be a list of the ways you can take the Lord's name in vain

For a thorough explanation for what it means to take the Lord's name in vain, try here. Essentialy you're not seriously referring / speaking to God.

Since Christianity has virtually 3 Gods (Jehovah, Jesus and the Holy Spirit) you have 3 lords to choose from when you take his name in vain, though I haven't found any phrases involving the holy spirit yet.

Ways to take the Lord's name in vain

Jesus Christ! (or just 'Jesus' or 'Christ')
Christ almighty

Christ alive

for God's sake
(oh my) God / OMG / OMFG

good God
(oh) Lord(y)
Why, God? WHY??
God (only) knows
Thank God

If you can think of any others, let me know.

Words that almost use the lords name in Vain? You either do or you don't. If you have good reason for a list of almost you need to elaborate why. Some people use other words to avoid the actual use.

Great list! You should come up with longer and worse phrases to use the christian's god in vain.

As a Christian myself, we don't have "virtually 3 gods", we have just one God. God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit = one triune God. The holy trinity can be difficult to understand, but look at it like an egg, there's the outer shell, the white and the yoke, three distinct parts but still one egg.
