I've never liked sports and cricket is no exception. I know the basics of it but I don't know what innings and overs are.

Innings is one round, per se. It's a team going through all its (11) batters.

An over is the bowler bowling 6 balls. Then a different bowler bowls from the other end.

And that's it, I guess. When I watch some cricket I'll see if I can understand how these terms are used.
