Fish and chips recipe

good3 "Look, a fish a chip restaurant," I said to my girlfriend.

"I've never eaten fish and chips before," she said.

"NEVER? Then I will cook you fish and chips tonight".

Ingredients

Chips

  1. good2 Cut the potatoes into chips.
  2. Optional: Boil the chips for 10-15 minutes. This should ensure they're soft on the inside.
  3. Heat the oil in a pan. Use enough oil to be able to deep-fry the chips.
  4. Test the heat of the oil by adding a single chip. The oil should fizz around it.
  5. Deep-fry the chips in the oil.

Fish

  1. Put egg into one bowl and flour in another.
  2. Coat the fish in egg.
  3. Coat the fish in flour.
  4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 a few times to build up batter around the fish.
  5. Deep-fry the fish in the oil.

Girlfriend's verdict: "Very very nice. I would give it a B+".
